Both groups had significant decreases in serum potassium levels at week six (p = 0.04) and at week twelve (p = 0.03) after 6-week treatment. There was no significant difference in renal clearance (6.1 vs. 2.1 mL/min/1.73 mEq/L, p = 0.26).
Conclusions:The results of this study indicate that the diuretic effect of Lasix on serum AUC and Cmax was dose-related.
